Job summary

Interior Health is seeking Casual Cooks to join our Support Services team at Vernon Jubilee Hospital in the Food Processing Centre (production kitchen) in Vernon, BC. If you are reliable, flexible and motivated, you will contribute to a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

This casual position offers varied shifts (06:00–14:00 and 14:30–22:30) with hours based on as-needed coverage. If you love food prep and working in a hospital setting, come join our team.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a recognized 12-month program in quantity cooking or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs duties related to the preparation and cooking of food items.
• Portioning and serving food.
• Washing, and cleaning kitchen equipment, utensils, and designated cooking/workstations.

About the Job

Cook:

This is a Casual opportunity. Casual Employees are not guaranteed hours of work and can range from 0-37.5 hours per week on an as-needed basis.

This position works rotating day and evening shifts of 06:00 to 14:00, 14:30 to 22:30 hours.
