Job summary

Canucks Sports & Entertainment in Vancouver is seeking cooks to join our event staff at Rogers Arena. This part-time, hourly role offers hands-on training in a premium kitchen during Canucks games, Warriors games, and concerts.

You will perform food preparation, uphold sanitation, and contribute to consistent quality in a fast-paced environment. Must be able to work flexible shifts including weekdays, weeknights, weekends and holidays, with on-site work at Rogers Arena.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work weekdays, weeknights, weekends, and holidays with various start times based on the kitchen needs
• Must be able to safely lift up to 40 lbs.
• Must be able to stand during scheduled shift, withstand repetitive walking, reaching, and bending for long periods of time
• Positive attitude and a willingness to learn
• Completion of Food Safe Certificate is an asset
• A strong understanding of and commitment to uphold our company values of discipline, respect, excellent, attitude, and mindset (DREAM)
• Non-Canadian residents must hold a valid work permit with a minimum of 8 months of validity remaining
• This is an onsite role at Rogers Arena in downtown Vancouver

POSITION OVERVIEW:

Cooks have the opportunity to work and receive valuable training in a premium kitchen environment. This is a part-time, hourly, events-based position. A typical shift includes:

• Performing food preparation and execution responsibilities within a premium kitchen
• Focusing on quality, food preparation standards, and consistency withina premium kitchen environment
• Implementing and enforcing sanitary practices for food handling, general cleanliness, and maintenance of kitchen
• Other duties as required
