The Salvation Army in Canada is seeking a dedicated kitchen role to prepare nutritious meals in a kitchen setting, ensuring adherence to food safety regulations and quality standards. The position emphasizes teamwork, communication, and maintaining high hygiene.
Staff will assist in coordinating with volunteers and supervising the preparation of meals. Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma with culinary training, Food Safe Level 1, and CPR First Aid.

This role is responsible for preparing and serving nutritious meals as outlined on menus in accordance with applicable food service and safety regulations, while maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards. The role contributes to the broader mission and values of The Salvation Army, upholding standards of service that reflect its spiritual and social commitment to the community.
Incumbents may perform all, some, or similar range of duties as below.
Internal: Ministry Unit leadership, kitchen staff
External: Clients, vendors, volunteers
The above responsibilities must be discharged in accordance with The Salvation Army’s Mission Statement, in a professional manner, upholding our code of conduct.
The target hiring range for this position is $19.01 to $21.01 with a maximum of $23.00.
Placement in the salary range will be based on factors such as market conditions, internal equity, and candidate experience, skills, and qualifications relevant to the role.
