Job summary

Kibbi is seeking a skilled cook to join the on-site kitchen team in Canada. You will plan menus, estimate food requirements, prepare and cook meals, and ensure quality and compliance with dietary instructions.

You will train staff, supervise kitchen operations, manage inventory, and order supplies, while maintaining clean, organized work areas and accurate records.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma required and English language proficiency.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a kitchen setting.
  • On-site kitchen role with ability to train staff and supervise operations.

Responsibilities

  • Determine the size of food portions and costs
  • Plan menus and estimate food requirements for their realization
  • Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods
  • Prepare and cook special meals for patients as instructed by dietitian or chef
  • Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food
  • Order supplies and equipment
  • Supervise kitchen staff and helpers
  • Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment
  • Clean kitchen and work areas
  • Manage kitchen operations
