Job summary

Kimberly-Clark Huntsville in Ontario is seeking a Converting Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. You will maintain equipment, follow GMP and safety standards, and read production schedules. The role requires rotation through 12-hour day/night shifts and a proactive, safety-first mindset.

The starting hourly wage is CAD 24.66, with comprehensive benefits and a strong emphasis on safety, training, and teamwork. This position is based in Huntsville, Ontario, Canada.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • 3+ years of industrial manufacturing experience.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Good communication skills, written and oral.
  • Able to operate forklift and other mobile equipment.
  • Safety-minded with adherence to PPE requirements.
  • Willing to work 12-hour rotating shifts.

Responsibilities

In This Role, You Will
  • Maintain all regulatory training.
  • Perform given tasks safely and efficiently (handle cartons, recycle unused/damaged materials, deal with plastic wrap and paper balers.)
  • Adherence, Practice of Good Manufacturing Practices, Housekeeping.
  • Responsible to comply with standards for attendance and break management (consistent & accurate punch in/out) in time keeping system-UKG.
  • Daily ways of working with digital tools (POKA, Shiftboard/Schedule Pro, SAP) and systems.
  • Read process orders and production schedules.
  • Complete pre-operational checks on equipment (damage, unusual sounds), and report concerns and issues to the appropriate teams.
  • Perform shift-change rounds and communicate important information to next shift operator.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly workspace following housekeeping standards for the area.
  • Participate in roll changes with the crew; replace empty paper rolls with full ones.
  • Participate in weekly blowdowns (dust clearing) and monthly maintenance downs.
  • Provide support to the Back stand Operator; identify and elevate defects, make adjustments to equipment as needed.
  • Work together with the material handler to prepare and monitor consumption of finishing supplies (cartons, cases, etc.)
  • Read and follow process orders and production schedules.
  • Perform basic troubleshooting on case packer, maintain glue levels, assess case forming issues, enter data and watch for issues.
  • Recycle unused or damaged materials such as cores, cases, and product.
  • Operate equipment according to safety regulations and TPM standards, as well as understand and perform Lock-Out procedures.
  • Perform other duties as designated by Supervisor.

Qualifications

In one of our manufacturing roles, you’ll focus on winning with consumers and the market, while putting safety, mutual respect, and human dignity at the center. To succeed in this role, you will need the following qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent and at least 3 years of Industrialized manufacturing experience.
  • 1+ years of continuous work experience.
  • Demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Possess strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Have strong communications skills, written and oral.
  • Competent Computer Skills to work with Digital Technology Platforms and Enterprise Management Systems
  • Driver’s license must be in good standing.
  • Fit to operate mobile equipment, forklift truck.
  • Demonstrate a Safety mindset and behaviors.
  • Must be comfortable in an industrial work environment (noise, dust, moving equipment, fluctuating temperatures etc.) May include prolonged periods of sitting (on forklift), along with bending, reaching, lifting and carrying up to 40 lbs., heights and confined spaces. PPE Requirements will include safety shoes, hearing protection and other appropriate PPE as designated.
  • Able to work rotational Shift Work; 12-hour shifts (3 days, 3 days off, 3 nights), weekdays, and weekends.
