Job summary

Hyatt Regency Vancouver is seeking a talented, customer service oriented and dedicated Convention Services Head Houseperson (Full-Time) to join our Event Services team. The Head Houseperson is responsible for supervising and leading a team of Convention Services Housepersons to meet guest expectations in setting up and breaking down all meeting spaces with tables, chairs and water.

Candidate must be available to work weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Must be able to provide excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment
• Must be flexible and able to work varied shifts including weekends and holidays
• Must have at least one-year supervisory role experience
• Must possess leadership skills: motivator, fair, initiative, listening, empathy
• Must be able to work with a diverse group of guests and team members
• Experience in convention services or banquet setup is an asset
• Excellent communication and English fluency; second language a plus

Responsibilities

• Supervise and lead a team of Convention Services Housepersons to meet guest expectations
• Set up and breakdown of meeting spaces with tables, chairs, water, and related equipment
• Coordinate event preparation and maintain sanitary event service areas
• Work in a fast-paced environment with continual guest interaction
