Job summary

Forge Consulting Group is seeking a hands-on Controls Programmer to join their engineering team in Windsor, Ontario. This role focuses on developing and troubleshooting PLC and HMI programs for custom automation projects, with exposure to Rockwell, Schneider, and Siemens platforms and involvement in startup and commissioning efforts.

You will work with electrical and pneumatic systems, read drawings, document technical work, and coordinate on multiple projects.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of controls/automation experience.
• Two-year technical diploma or four-year degree in a related field.
• Experience with FactoryTalk View Studio.
• Strong PLC and HMI programming skills.
• Ability to travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and troubleshoot PLC and HMI programs.
• Program using Rockwell, Schneider, and Siemens platforms.
• Develop ladder logic and machine control systems.
• Support machine startup, debugging, and commissioning.
• Work with electrical and pneumatic systems.
• Integrate robotics, machine vision, and automation systems.
• Read and interpret electrical and pneumatic drawings.
• Prepare technical documentation.
• Support multiple automation projects and priorities.
