Job summary

GDI Ainsworth in Lethbridge is seeking a Controls Journeyman Electrician to join our growing automation team. As a Journeyman, you will be involved in installation, commissioning and servicing of commercial building automation systems. You will work on electrical equipment in compliance with codes, study plans, and support BAS solutions.

Position Summary:

We are currently looking for Controls Journeyman Electricians to join our growing Lethbridge automation team. As a Journeyman, you will be involved in the installation, commissioning and servicing of commercial building automation systems. This position requires a good working knowledge of basic electronic theory and Building Electrical / Mechanical systems.

Responsibilities

• Installs, wiring, BMS and other electrical system equipment and components in compliance with electrical codes, standards, and regulations.
• Studies plans, drawings, specifications, and work orders to determine work requirement and sequence of installations.
• Repairs and maintains low voltage systems (under 120V).
• Assist in delivering BAS solutions to our customer base within the Construction/Operation Department.
• Assist with site commissioning, point to point verifications, troubleshootingandstartup of a variety of Building Automation Systems.
• Appropriately handles and is familiar with all testing and electrical repair tools and equipment.
• Perform tasks with minimum supervision and in accordance with Ainsworth GDI Health&Safetypolicies and procedures
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
• Perform all job functions in a safe and healthful manner, abiding by and in accordance with all applicable Health, Safety and Environmental company policies and government legislation/regulations.
• Adhere to the Company’s Quality System operating procedures.

Qualifications:
