Job Description
Specific Responsibilities:
  1. Supervise, train, and guide all Controls engineering designers in the team.
  2. Collaborate with Applications Engineering for proposals and oversee projects from concept to support.
  3. Develop control architectures based on standards and customer specifications.
  4. Implement tools, methods, and modules to maintain standards.
  5. Work with teams to improve controls technology, safety, and functionality.
  6. Ensure projects adhere to budgets and schedules.
  7. Assign daily tasks to team members.
  8. Review and approve work products for functionality, standards, accuracy, and safety.
  9. Approve material requisitions.
  10. Maintain project forecast information and improvement plans.
  11. Achieve milestones related to controls design and integration.
  12. Evaluate team members’ performance and collaborate with managers on goals.
  13. Lead and mentor team members.
  14. Review new controls products for cost-effectiveness and relevance.
  15. Work with customers and team members to resolve issues and ensure compliance.
  16. Ensure health and safety procedures are followed.
  17. Provide training and instructions to employees.
  18. Uphold ethical standards and compliance with the Code of Business Conduct.
  19. Follow health, safety, and environmental procedures.
  20. Report unsafe conditions and incidents.
  21. Ensure proper use of protective equipment and attend safety training.
  22. Report accidents and assist in investigations.
Qualifications
Education:

A post-secondary diploma, degree, or equivalent in electrical, mechanical, or software controls technology.

Experience:

Experience in industrial controls for automated systems, leadership qualities, programming and troubleshooting PLC hardware and software. Willingness to apply even if not fully qualified.
