Job summary

Armstrong Fluid Technology is seeking a Control Engineer to design standardized hardware and software control architectures, unifying multiple platforms into a single Soft PLC solution. You will migrate legacy applications, implement HMI migrations, and manage changes through formal release processes to improve reliability and scalability across manufacturing plants.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, automation, or related field.
5–7 years in control systems engineering or industrial automation.
Experience developing standard, repeatable products, not one-off projects.
Proficiency with PLC/Soft PLC platforms and control logic.
Familiarity with Modbus, Ethernet/IP, Bacnet protocols.
Experience with BOM/drawing release and configuration control.

Responsibilities

Design standardized hardware and software control architectures across products.
Migrate legacy applications to unified Soft PLC platform with reusable components.
Lead platform and HMI migrations using standard templates and interfaces.
Define and execute test procedures and release criteria for reliability.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams across lifecycle stages.
