Clark Wilson LLP in Vancouver, BC, seeks a Controller to lead the Accounting team, reporting to the Director of Finance. The role oversees daily accounting operations, financial reporting, and staff supervision, with responsibility for trust accounting and compliance with Law Society requirements.

The ideal candidate holds a CPA designation and solid experience in professional services, especially law firms, and brings strong Excel skills and familiarity with Aderant.

Formación

• CPA/CA/CGA/CMA designation required.
• Experience in a mid-sized law or professional services firm.
• Experience with trust accounting procedures.
• Proficiency with Excel.
• Experience with Aderant software is an asset.

Responsabilidades

• Oversee the Firm’s day-to-day accounting operations.
• Provide supervisory support and guidance to the accounting team.
• Ensure integrity, accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting.
• Oversee trust accounting processes and compliance with Law Society requirements.
• Provide financial information and collaborate with colleagues across the Firm.
• Work with external parties (accountants, banks, consultants).
• Provide financial systems leadership and drive process improvements.
• Undertake projects related to accounting and finance areas of the business.
• Support governance and policy work.
• Provide backup support for accounting functions.
