Job summary

Héroux-Devtek seeks an accomplished Controller to lead the financial operations for multiple facilities, overseeing budgeting, forecasting, and monthly/quarterly reporting. The role partners with the General Managers and corporate office to ensure high standards of financial integrity and operational insight.

You will manage a team, drive KPI reporting, and ensure robust controls across manufacturing environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance is required.
• CPA designation is required.
• Minimum 5 years post-designation experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong analytical and accounting controls knowledge.
• Experience with audits and corporate reporting requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead annual budgeting (5-year) and strategic planning; provide regular forecasting.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reporting including statements and memos; maintain GL reconciliations.
• Provide KPI reporting to support operational performance improvements.
• Maintain internal controls and procedures to satisfy regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with management and functional areas to provide financial insights.
• Liaise for annual financial audits and mid-year audits; manage physical inventory counts.

Job description

The successful candidate will be a key member of the local Management team and work closely with the General Managers of multiple facilities. The ideal candidate must possess a clear understanding of public company reporting requirements, have managed staff and demonstrate strong attention to detail. The incumbent must be comfortable working with various departments in the company and getting involved in multiple projects. In addition to strong leadership and management skills, the incumbent must show entrepreneurial spirit, possess strong organizational and documentation skills, strong teamwork skills and can work independently with internal and external professionals at all levels.

The Controller will be responsible for multiple facilities which are the Center of Excellence for the machining of medium to large landing gear components for commercial and defense markets.

Summary Of Duties

• Responsible for annual 5 year budget, strategic planning and regular forecasting
• Responsible for monthly & quarterly financial reporting including financial statements, memos and ensuring team is maintaining all GL account reconciliations
• Responsible for providing critical KPI reporting for operational success to improve operational performance
• Maintain, monitor and implement financial controls and procedures to satisfy Bill 198 (52-109);
• Provide financial insight to all management & support all functional areas;
• Liaison for annual financial audit and twice a year Bill 198 (52-109) audit
• Lead annual physical inventory count and ensure cycle count process is maintained throughout year
• Responsible for maintaining all accounting records and proper archival of such records;
• Communicate with Corporate office on financial data and business activities (tax, insurance etc) as required;
• Other analysis and projects as required;
• Lead and develop your team to be timely, accurate and efficient in release of information;

• Work closely with the other departments.

Qualification

• The candidate should hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance and hold a CPA designation

Experience

• Minimum 5 years (post designation) working experience with preference from a manufacturing environment

Salary range: $110,000-$130,000 per year
