Job summary

Fedorki Performance Systems, together with affiliated companies, is seeking a hands-on Controller to lead the finance function across multiple entities in Eastern Ontario. You will shape financial reporting, drive process improvements, and partner with ownership on growth initiatives.

The role offers broad exposure to fabrication, manufacturing, construction, and skilled trades, with strategic budgeting, treasury, and M&A-related involvement as the organization expands.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience including experience in a Controller or senior accounting leadership role.
• CPA designation in good standing.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and internal controls.
• Experience in construction, manufacturing, fabrication, trades, or other job-costing environments is an asset.
• Familiarity with multi-entity accounting, consolidations, and inter-company transactions.

Responsibilities

• Lead the full-cycle accounting and financial reporting functions across multiple affiliated companies, ensuring accurate and timely month-end and year-end close processes.
• Prepare and oversee entity-level and consolidated financial statements, reporting packages, and key financial insights to support ownership's decision-making.
• Develop, implement, and continuously improve accounting processes, internal controls, and financial reporting frameworks to support a growing multi-entity organization.
• Monitor job costing, work-in-progress (WIP), project profitability, and margin performance across fabrication, manufacturing, construction, and skilled trades operations.
• Manage inter-company accounting, reconciliations, and cost allocations while ensuring accuracy across all entities.
• Provide operational leaders with financial analysis, budgeting support, variance reporting, and performance metrics to improve business results.
• Oversee compliance with corporate tax, HST/GST, payroll remittances, WSIB requirements, and year-end audit activities, while maintaining audit-ready financial records.
• Lead cash flow forecasting, working capital management, banking relationships, and treasury activities across the organization.
• Partner directly with ownership to support strategic planning, business growth initiatives, capital investment decisions, financing opportunities, and financial modelling.
• Develop and lead annual budgets, forecasts, KPI reporting, and management dashboards that provide visibility into performance across the group.
• Supervise and mentor accounting support staff, while helping to standardize processes and build scalable finance operations.
• Support future acquisitions, due diligence activities, and business integration efforts as the organization continues to grow.
