Qualifications

  • College diploma or university degree required in relevant fields.
  • Strong knowledge of PLCs and building automation systems.
  • Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure maintenance and smooth operation of advanced systems.
  • Calibrate and maintain detection and actuation devices.
  • Troubleshoot equipment and determine corrective actions.

Skills

Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs)

What you’ll do ?

  • You will be responsible for, but not limited to :
  • Respect health and safety policies at all times
  • Test and verify the quality of controls installations
  • Perform calibration and maintenance of detection and actuation devices
  • Complete programming of digital control systems
  • Perform system and equipment start-ups and completing the related documentation
  • Make GUI modifications
  • Troubleshoot equipment and determining corrective actions
  • Install and terminate control devices, such as controllers, sensors, actuators, and relays
  • Provide training to clients

Must have

  • College diploma in Instrumentation and automation, Electronics, or building mechanical systems or a university diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
  • Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs)
  • Valid driver's licence
  • Access to a vehicle
  • No criminal record
  • Experience with Building Automation System

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of HVAC
  • Knowledge of BACnet protocol
  • Knowledge of computer and telecommunication networks
  • Valid health and safety trainings : WHMIS, working at heights, locks and tags, Arc flash awareness
