Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a reliable Security Control/Monitor Guard to join our team in a retail environment in Surrey, BC. The role watches CCTV and security systems, manages site security, responds to incidents, and helps keep clients, employees, and visitors safe.

The ideal candidate has at least two years of security experience, CCTV monitoring experience, and strong communication in English. Must hold a BC Security Worker Licence and be available for weekdays and weekends on a 12:00–22:00

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of security experience, preferably in a control room, dispatch, commercial, or retail environment.
• Previous CCTV monitoring experience is required.
• Valid BC Security Worker Licence.
• Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
• Excellent observation, problem-solving, organizational and multitasking skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Availability to work the required schedule, including weekends and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Monitor CCTV, alarms, and security systems to identify and respond to potential security concerns.
• Conduct site patrols and control access to the property.
• Respond to incidents, emergencies, and security breaches in accordance with established procedures.
• Maintain accurate incident reports and daily activity logs.
• Communicate effectively with clients, visitors, supervisors, and emergency responders.
• Escalate critical incidents and follow all site-specific security procedures.
• Deliver professional customer service while maintaining a safe and secure environment.

Security Control/ Monitor Guard – Full-Time & Casual Opportunities !

Allied Universal® is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Security Control/ Monitor Guard to join our team in a retail environment in Surrey, BC.

In this role, you will monitor CCTV and security systems, oversee site security operations, respond to incidents, and help maintain a safe environment for clients, employees, and visitors. The ideal candidate has strong observation skills, previous CCTV monitoring experience, and the ability to remain calm and make sound decisions under pressure.

Location: Surrey, BC Pay Rate: $20.00 - $21.00/ per hour Schedule: Needs to be available on Weekdays & Weekends

Shift Time: 1200h - 2200h

Key Responsibilities
