Job summary

Well.ca, Inc. is seeking a Contract Receiving Associate for overnight shifts in Guelph. You will receive, inspect, and put away inventory in the distribution centre, ensuring accuracy and safety while collaborating with Production and Inventory Control teams.

The role requires 2+ years in warehousing, experience with WMS, and operation of pallet jacks or similar machinery. This 6‑month contract offers evening hours with a competitive wage and night premium.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in a warehouse environment with Receiving/Inventory Control.
• Hands-on experience using a Warehouse Management System (WMS).
• Experience operating pallet jacks, pump trucks or similar machinery.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to inventory accuracy.
• Ability to work cross-functionally and communicate across teams.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and process inbound shipments using the WMS.
• Perform accurate put-away by verifying quantities and locations.
• Identify discrepancies including damages, shortages, and mis-ships promptly.
• Ensure products meet quality and expiry guidelines and flag issues.
• Collaborate with Production and Inventory Control to support flow.
• Maintain productivity and accuracy aligned with KPIs.
• Cross-train in picking, packing, sorting, shipping, and inventory tasks as needed.
• Operate material handling equipment safely (pallet jacks, pump trucks).
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment per health standards.

Competitive Wage:$18.20 per hour + $3.00 per hour Night Premium

Work Schedule:Sunday - Thursday 10:00pm - 6:00am

Training Schedule:First 2 Weeks: Monday - Friday 9:00am - 5:00pm

The Receiving Associate

The Receiving Associate is responsible for the accurate, efficient, and safe receipt and put‑away of inventory within the Well.ca Distribution Centre. This role plays a key part in maintaining inventory integrity while supporting cross‑functional operations with Receiving, Production, and Inventory Control teams. Team members in this role will be cross‑trained across functions to support overall operational flow.

Key Responsibilities:

• Receive, inspect, and process inbound shipments using the Warehouse Management System (WMS)
• Perform accurate put‑away by verifying product quantities, condition, and correct location placement
• Identify and report discrepancies including damages, shortages, and mis‑ships in a timely manner
• Ensure all products meet quality and expiry guidelines, flagging any issues immediately
• Collaborate with Production and Inventory Control teams to support product flow and resolve inventory issues
• Maintain productivity and accuracy standards aligned with departmental KPIs
• Support other warehouse functions through cross‑training (including picking, packing, sorting, shipping, and inventory tasks) as needed to maintain operational flow
• Operate material handling equipment safely (e.g., pallet jacks, pump trucks, or similar machinery)
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with health and safety standards
• Other duties as required

Qualifications:
