Job summary

Procom is seeking a Contract Professional for a 12‑month assignment in Burnaby, BC, with a hybrid work model (2 days in office per week). The role focuses on formal management of high‑complexity contracts to deliver projects safely, with quality, within budget and on time.

The ideal candidate has 12+ years in claims/commercial management or project controls on major construction or infrastructure programs, plus expertise in CPM scheduling and dispute resolution.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, Law, Quantity Surveying, Finance, or related discipline.
• Min. 12 years of claims management, commercial management, or project controls on major construction or infrastructure projects.
• Experience evaluating contract claims, schedule impacts, and disputes.
• Knowledge of CPM scheduling principles and delay analysis methodologies.
• Strong understanding of construction claims, dispute resolution, schedule impact assessment, entitlement analysis, and the contract provisions governing notices, changes, delays, compensation, and claims.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to prepare clear and well‑supported reports and recommendations for management and project teams.
• Proficiency with Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, and Microsoft Office applications
• relevant professional certifications or designations are considered an asset.

The Contract Professional performs formal management of contracts with high complexity, so that projects and ongoing operations are delivered safely, with quality, within budget, and on time.

Contract Professional Mandatory Skills

• Degree or equivalent in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, Law, Quantity Surveying, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Min. 12 years of claims management, commercial management, or project controls or related discipline on major construction or infrastructure projects.
• Demonstrated experience evaluating contract claims, schedule impacts, and dispute resolution matters.
• Working knowledge of CPM scheduling principles and industry-recognized delay analysis methodologies.
• Strong understanding of construction claims, dispute resolution, schedule impact assessment, entitlement analysis, and the contract provisions governing notices, changes, delays, compensation, and claims.
