Job summary

Whitecap Resources Inc. in Western Canada seeks a field operations technician to support Boundary Lake operations. You will oversee daily operation and maintenance of field equipment, ensuring safe and cost-effective production while complying with government and company standards.

Responsibilities include inspections, record-keeping, housekeeping, and safety/quality checks. The role requires no camp provided; shift pattern is 8 on / 6 off, with possible overtime and holidays as needed.

Qualifications

• The ideal candidate will have 3 years of relevant experience; however, equivalent experience and qualifications will be considered.
• Experience pumping oil wells, booster pumps, and water injection systems.
• Good computer skills are an asset.
• Self-motivated, open-minded and results oriented.
• Safety training current and up to date including: First Aid/CPR, H2S.

• Perform housekeeping duties as necessary on and around equipment, process area, and control room; keeping equipment and well sites clean and clear.
• Safety and compliance inspections (Safety, Tanks, Lease, H.I.D’s).
• Pipeline Operations and maintenance (Pigging, chemical programs, inspections).

Purpose:

A key member for our Whitecap Resources Inc – Boundary Lake Operations, you will provide support to the operations team, ensuring that Oil is produced in an efficient and cost-effective manner which facilitates safety, health, environmental, and regulatory compliance and business stewardship. Your primary responsibility will be the day-to-day operation and maintenance of field equipment within assigned operations runs, while adhering to government and company standards.

• Safety training current and up to date including: First Aid/CPR, H2S.

Working Conditions:

• Qualified candidates must have ability to work an 8 days ON/6 days OFF shifts with a rotating schedule.
• Work location is around Goodlow B.C. No provided camp available.
• Successful candidate will be required to work overtime as well as holidays if they fall during normal work schedule.
