Job summary

Kuehne+Nagel in Mississauga is seeking a collaborative Warehouse Automation Project Manager to design, drive and deliver large-scale automation and continuous improvement initiatives within our Contract Logistics team.

You will lead project plans, manage budgets, report to stakeholders, and coordinate cross-functional teams from concept to implementation while ensuring safe, efficient operations and on-time results in a dynamic global logistics environment.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of Project Management experience.
• 5+ years of Automation experience.
• 5+ years of Engineering experience.
• 5+ years of Business Analytics experience.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead Continuous Improvement projects using DMAIC to identify opportunities and monitor results.
• Manage Improve/Support phase: develop project plans, allocate resources, track status.
• Oversee all project reporting: CI Tracker, weekly/monthly reports, stakeholder updates.
• Provide project support: Go-Live meetings, sponsorship alignment, change management.
• Manage recruitment, information/ material flows, equipment needs, and knowledge transfer for deployments.
• Monitor budgets and post-implementation operational support as required.

We're looking for a collaborative Warehouse Automation Project Manager who thrives on solving complex challenges and driving innovation to join our Mississauga, ON Contract Logistics team.

How you create impact

• Lead and deliver Continuous Improvement projects to completion using the DMAIC methodology (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control), including identifying opportunities with Operations, analyzing solutions, supporting implementation, and monitoring post-implementation results.
• Act as Project Manager during the Improve/Support phase, developing and managing project plans, prioritizing projects, allocating resources, tracking status, and ensuring successful project execution.
• Manage all project reporting requirements, including weekly, monthly, ad hoc, CI Tracker, customer-specific reports, and regular communication with stakeholders and the Steering Committee.
• Provide tactical project support through project follow-up, Go-Live meetings, sponsorship and funding alignment, change request management, and issue resolution.
• Oversee all critical project elements, including recruitment, information and material flows, equipment requirements, implementation activities, and knowledge transfer for future deployments.
• Monitor project performance and implementation costs against approved budgets, while supporting operational processes after implementation when required.
• Document continuous improvement projects using A3 methodology and maintain accurate records in the CI Tracker.
• Conduct assessments and develop action plans for KNPS facility certifications, while providing certification and program training and coordinating Operations team Belt and certification achievement.
• Implement, support, and sustain the Management Operating System (MOS), KNPS Productivity Management Modules (PMM), and Quality Management Modules (QMM) across operations.
• Maintain local PMM/QMM databases, provide first-level system support, and ensure ongoing effectiveness of productivity and quality management programs.

Base wage is part of a competitive total rewards package that includes health and dental benefits, a retirement savings plan, and tuition reimbursement. Individual pay may vary from the target range and is determined by a number of factors including experience, skills, job location, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations. Kuehne+Nagel reviews pay ranges regularly to ensure competitive and fair pay based on industry market data.
