Job summary

Acerta Energy is seeking a Contract Field Operator in Drayton Valley. The role focuses on safe, field-based production operations, reporting, and cost-conscious optimization of wells and facilities.

You will support CMDS safety programs and coordinate with multiple teams while spending 100% of time in the field. The role requires 2–3 years of field/plant experience, a valid Class 5 license, and CMDS safety program enrollment.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of operation experience required.
• Valid Class 5 driver's license.
• CMDS safety program enrollment required.
• Strong safety performance and communication skills.
• Experience in plant or field environments preferred.
• Knowledge of safety and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Conduct safe day‑to‑day field production operations and enter daily production reporting.
• Optimize wells and facilities to maximize production.
• Identify methods to lower operating and capital costs.
• Improve maintenance to reduce costs and downtime.
• Support safety meetings and CMDS training.
• Liaise with accounting, drilling, and completions engineering to plan and bring wells on stream.
