Job summary

Lake Shore Gold in Timmins, Ontario, is hiring a Core Technician for the Exploration Team on a 12-month contract. The role involves assisting the geological crew with core cutting, sampling, and logistics at the Timmins mine site.

Relocation to the Timmins area is required; schedule is Monday to Friday, 8 hours per day. Compensation ranges from CAD 24.00 to CAD 28.00 per hour, based on qualifications and experience, with benefits after 3 months of employment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Previous core technician experience preferred.
• Commitment to safety and safe work practices must be demonstrated.
• Applicants must be eligible to work in Canada.

Responsibilities

• Assist geological crew with cutting and sampling core, moving core, packing samples and documenting shipments.
• Deliveries and organization of drill core and sample storage.
• Maintain core facility organization and support other duties as assigned.
