Job summary

Responsibilities include providing all aspects of psychiatric nursing care, coordinating care for adult and adolescent units, assessing needs, developing care plans, administering medications, and documenting accurately.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of inpatient acute psychiatric nursing experience.
• Experience with adolescents and adults.
• Float to adult and adolescent units.
• Experience with paper charting.

Responsibilities

• Provide all aspects of psychiatric nursing care for patients in assigned psych units.
• Provide care for inpatient adult and adolescent units.
• Assess patients’ physical and behavioral health needs and plan accordingly.
• Develop and implement nursing care plans.
• Assess, diagnose, plan and evaluate outcomes; implement physician orders.
• Prepare, administer and record medications per policy.
• Record information concisely and accurately.
• Participate in multidisciplinary treatment planning and revise care plans as needed.

Employment Type: Full-time, Travel, Contract, Temporary

Contract Length: 16 weeks - Accepting Local and Travel Candidates

Pay Rate: Range $2160 Gross pay (Non-taxable travel/housing and M&I stipend available for qualified/eligible travelers)

Shift Timings: 12 hour shifts, Nights, 7p-7:30a

Schedule: 36 hours/week, 12 hour shifts, 3 shifts per week including every other weekend and holidays rotation

Position Requirements

• 2+years of Recent/Current Inpatient Acute Psychiatric Nursing experience
• Comfortableand willing to work with adolescents, adults patient population
• Float to Adult and Adolescent units
• Must have experience with Paper charting

Education, License and Certification Requirements

• ASN or an equivalent – Required
• BSN or an equivalent – Highlypreferred
