Job summary

Villa Acadienne in Meteghan, NS, seeks a dedicated care assistant for a term part-time position within our 86-bed long-term care facility. We follow the Eden Alternative Philosophy, focusing on resident-centered care that supports growth and life enrichment for residents.

Qualified candidates have NS CCA certification or related credentials, or are enrolled as LPN/RN students with plans to complete the CCA program. Opportunity to grow with education paths and a pension plan.

Qualifications

• Must hold Nova Scotia Certification as a Continuing Care Assistant (CCA), or Nova Scotia Certification as Personal Care Worker prior to 2006 with 12 months of work in that role.
• Currently enrolled as an LPN or RN student from a recognized course.
• Completion of the first four modules of the CCA course with plans to complete the CCA program within two years.

• Provide quality care to residents, meeting physical, emotional and spiritual needs while promoting well-being.

CCA certification (Nova Scotia)

JOB QUALIFICATIONS/ABILITIES:

• Nova Scotia Certification as a Continuing Care Assistant (CCA), or
• Nova Scotia Certification as Personal Care Worker earlier then 2006 and have been working in that capacity for 12 months prior or
• Currently enrolled as an LPN or RN student from a recognized course, or
• Completion of the 1st four modules of the CCA course with plans to complete CCA program within two years;
