Job description

Founded in 2008, MRG Live has grown to become Canada's leading independent concert and entertainment production company. It is now Canada's largest concert and entertainment promotion company, with expansion into the USA beginning in 2020. Annually, MRG Live produces over 1,000 events, utilizing MRG's nine owned, operated, or programmed venues. The company produces concerts across Canada and in key US markets, handling a range of venue sizes from clubs and theatres to arenas.

Who You Are:

As our Content Marketing Manager, you will own the multi-channel content roadmap, automated email ecosystems, and organic social strategy for multiple core brands across The MRG Group. In this role, you elevate tactical content capturing into high-impact digital campaigns.

You will actively attend concerts and live events to produce high-value, short-form video coverage, while simultaneously analyzing key performance indicators (KPIs) to optimize engagement. This role blends on-the-ground multimedia creativity with deep analytical execution to drive revenue and strengthen our online fan communities.

This role will contribute to content and marketing strategy across MRG Live and Rapseason.

What You’ll Work On:
  • Organic Strategy & Campaign Execution: Plan, execute, and deliver comprehensive organic strategies across all social channels (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube), website landscapes, and targeted email drops for multiple MRG Group brands.
  • On-Site Content Coordination and Production: Coordinate live coverage and attend concerts, live experiences, and industry events (including evenings and weekends) to actively capture, edit, and publish high-quality, real-time multimedia content in high-energy, loud environments on-site.
  • Advanced CRM & Email Architecture: Own the development of automated pre-sales and lifecycle customer journeys using CRM software. Build and deploy complex marketing mailers, utilizing data segmentation to curate highly targeted, high-converting subscriber lists.
  • Data Analytics & ROI Performance: Extract, interpret, and present advanced monthly performance data (using Facebook Business Manager, Sprout Social, and native platform analytics) to discover insights, optimize content strategy, and drive ticket sales.
  • Influencer & Partnership Management: Identify, pitch, and contract key digital creators, influencers, and local tastemakers to scale multi-market promotional campaigns.
  • Growth Contesting Lifecycle: Design and scale data-collection contesting campaigns—collaborating across internal departments to secure prizing, build interactive data forms, map legal guardrails, and manage winner distributions.
  • Brand Voice Governance: Crafts high-level copy effortlessly across diverse brand personas, adapting seamlessly to venues, promoters, and partner brand voices.
  • Trend Leveraging & Internal Education: Stay at the absolute cutting edge of social algorithm updates, emerging AI tools, and content trends, serving as an internal subject matter expert to train the wider organization.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and develop a small team; driving team performance, daily workflow execution, and ongoing professional growth.
What We’re Looking For:
  • Previous experience managing social media, community management, copywriting, content capturing and creation is required (1-2 years minimum)
  • Fluent in everything social media - aware of latest technologies and techniques
  • Ability to create unique content as required (static and video)
  • Experience and good working knowledge of analytical tools and platforms and the ability to report and speak on key metrics is necessary
  • Comfortable pulling and interpreting data (using tools such as Facebook Business Manager, HeyOrca, Twitter Analytics, TikTok Analytics, etc.) and using analytics to drive better results
  • Proven track record of designing, launching, and optimizing email marketing campaigns leveraging customer data and automation tools
  • Ability to write copy in multiple brand voices with ease
  • Comfortable working under pressure to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to handle multiple projects at any one time with the ability to prioritize effectively
  • Exceptional communication skills, organizational skills, and attention to detail
  • Excited about the opportunity to capture content at concerts and live events - comfort level in a crowded space & ability to handle loud environment is necessary
  • Enthusiasm for the role and a willingness to assist and work as part of a strong team
