Job summary

Tangerine is seeking a Content Manager to drive editorial planning, content development, and day-to-day execution across Tangerine's content ecosystem. You will collaborate with Brand, Product, Wealth, and Legal teams to translate business priorities into audience-first content that supports brand and business objectives.

Qualifications

  • 5-7 years of experience in content marketing, editorial, publishing, journalism, content strategy, or digital marketing.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, storytelling, and editorial judgment skills.
  • Experience leading content initiatives from planning and briefing through production, approval, publication, and optimization.
  • Strong ability to translate complex business topics into engaging, audience-first content.
  • Experience managing content calendars, workflows, stakeholders, and multiple concurrent priorities.
  • Proven ability to build relationships and influence outcomes across cross-functional teams.
  • Experience working with external agencies, freelancers, content platforms, or production partners.
  • Strong understanding of SEO, content performance measurement, and digital content best practices.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Comfort working in ambiguity, adapting to changing priorities and balancing strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
  • Familiarity with content management systems, project management tools, and AI-enabled content workflows.
  • Formal post-secondary education in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, English, or a related discipline.
  • AI fluency and curiosity about emerging content technologies.
  • Comfort and confidence in adapting new tools and ways of working.
  • Ability to drive results in periods of change.
  • Track record of fostering an inclusive culture.

What You Will Be Doing

The Content Manager plays a key role in bringing Tangerine's content strategy to life. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Content Strategy, this role leads editorial planning, content development, and day-to-day execution across Tangerine's content ecosystem.

Working closely with partners across Brand, Product, Wealth, TTM, Legal, Compliance, and external agencies, you will transform business priorities into high-quality, audience-first content that supports brand and business objectives.

Combining strong editorial judgement with operational excellence, you will ensure content is delivered efficiently, meets the highest quality standards, and continuously evolves through performance insights and optimization.

Is this role right for you? In this role, you will be:
  • Editorial Leadership & Content Development
    • Lead the development and execution of editorial content across Tangerine's content ecosystem, including content hubs, thought leadership, digital PR, newsletters, and campaign support content.
    • Translate business priorities, audience insights, and content strategy into actionable content plans and editorial recommendations.
    • Develop compelling content opportunities, story angles, and editorial concepts that align with business objectives and audience needs.
    • Serve as an editorial lead by ensuring all content reflects Tangerine's brand voice, editorial standards, and customer-first approach.
    • Edit, review, and provide feedback on content to ensure clarity, accuracy, quality, and consistency.
  • Content Planning & Operations
    • Own and manage the editorial calendar and content pipeline across key business priorities.
    • Lead content from brief through publication, ensuring content is delivered on time, on strategy, and to quality standards.
    • Manage content workflows, production schedules, approvals, and stakeholder reviews throughout the content lifecycle.
    • Anticipate risks, remove obstacles, and proactively manage competing priorities to maintain delivery timelines.
  • Performance Optimization & Continuous Improvement
    • Monitor content performance and identify insights, trends, and opportunities to improve future content.
    • Partner with analytics, SEO, and paid media teams to ensure content is optimized for discoverability, engagement, and business impact.
    • Apply audience insights, search trends, and performance data to shape content recommendations and editorial planning.
    • Stay informed on content, publishing, AI, SEO and industry trends and apply relevant insights to enhance Tangerine's content programs.
