Earls Kitchen + Bar is looking for a Content Creator + Digital Designer to join our collaborative Brand + Marketing team in Vancouver, BC, at Earls Head Office. This is an incredible opportunity to leverage your skills in graphic design, photography, and video to produce industry-leading content across social media, our website, and other digital platforms. Role Responsibilities

Content Ideation & Development

  • Lead the creation of all social media content (photo and video) primarily for TikTok and Instagram, including concepting, filming, editing, and animating assets for both organic and paid posts, always ensuring alignment with Earls' brand positioning, visual identity, and tone of voice.
  • Develop compelling brand content and storytelling across all digital platforms, including social media, e-newsletters, blog posts, and the website, working closely with the Brand & Marketing team.
  • Support with writing social copy, focusing on transforming key messaging into engaging, social-first narratives that resonate with our audience.
  • Capturing images/photos, editing, and retouching for smaller or time-sensitive projects.
  • Capture iPhone video content at store locations for monthly content needs, behind-the-scenes video content at large shoots, and internal events.


Social Media Management

  • Schedule and post content on the Earls Corporate social media channels with support from the Brand + Social Manager.
  • Collaborate with the Brand + Social Manager to brainstorm and develop content strategies for social media and newsletters, ensuring plans align with menu rollouts, evergreen brand content, promotions, campaigns, and deliver on the overarching business objectives.
  • Collaborate with the Brand + Social Manager to ideate and implement tactics to optimize the growth and engagement of our social platforms.
  • Collaborate with the Brand + Social Manager to identify opportunities to elevate the brand’s social presence and position Earls as a category leader.
  • Stay up to date on pop culture, social media, industry, and competitor trends, sharing insights to elevate the brand and social media strategy.


Graphic Design

  • Act as the primary social and digital creative, collaborating closely with the Brand + Marketing team, Senior Graphic Designer, and other departments to deliver impactful campaigns that meet project objectives and push the brand forward.
  • Conceptualize and execute engaging digital assets for social media, website, and newsletters, including static graphics, animated visuals, and short videos, with occasional support for print.
  • Translate marketing objectives and brand messaging into innovative concepts that resonate with our target audiences.
  • Ensure all creative output aligns with our brand guidelines, maintaining a cohesive visual identity across all channels and formats, while bringing fresh, bold ideas to the table.
  • Apply a strong understanding of typography, layout, color, and current design trends to push creative and visual boundaries and support overall campaign goals.


Qualifications

  • 2-4 years of proven experience in graphic design, visual storytelling, and content creation across digital and print platforms
  • Post-secondary education in Design, Visual Communications, Marketing, or a related field; equivalent experience will also be considered
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, After Effects), with strong skills in video editing and photo retouching
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a strong sense of brand voice and audience engagement
  • Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong time management and organizational abilities, with a track record of meeting tight deadlines without compromising quality
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
