Colonial Group is seeking a Consultant to join its Insolvency and Restructuring Department in Montreal. You will analyze financial information, build models, and prepare projections to support restructuring plans.

The role involves assisting with reports to court, responding to creditors, and administering insolvency appointments. A CPA designation and bilingual fluency are required, with a minimum of 2 years in audit and strong MS Office skills.

Qualificações

• CPA designation required or in progress; strong financial analysis skills.
• Bilingual in French and English with client-facing experience.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in audit or related field.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to build financial models.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced environment and ability to manage multiple priorities.

As a result of the continued growth within this service line, our Insolvency and Restructuring Department is seeking a Consultant to join their team of professionals.

The primary responsibilities of this position are as follows:

Responsibilities

• Analysis of financial information and elaboration of financial models;
• Preparing financial projections to reflect the impact of restructuring plans and other turnaround initiatives;
• Support the preparation of reports and other statutory documentation (look-see reports, report on restructuring and business plans, reports to court);
• Responding to creditor and other interested parties and stakeholder’ queries;
• Data analysis and review of financial and banking records;
• Administration of formal insolvency appointments including bankruptcies, proposals, creditor arrangement plans and liquidations;
• Financial analysis of companies in a variety of industries, including review of operations and business plans;
• Dashboards to support the implementation and monitoring of operational restructuring plans;
• Business development initiatives, networking and contribution to the preparation of mandate proposals.

Skills/Experience

• CPA designation;
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in audit;
• Willingness to consider obtaining the CAIRP designation;
• Bilingual (French and English);
• Strong financial analytical skills;
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office
