Job summary

NextGenEnergyJobs is seeking a Construction Technician to join our team on site across residential projects. The role focuses on implementing structural upgrades, roof repairs, and related home improvements while ensuring quality workmanship and safety.

Responsibilities include material sourcing, site cleanup, equipment handling, and coordinating with customers. The ideal candidate has 2+ years of residential construction or solar experience and can lift up to 50 pounds frequently and 100 pounds

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of residential construction or solar experience.
• Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with those contacted in the course of work, including customers.
• Ability to transport materials and equipment (up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds with assistance).
• Ability to work on rooftops with various angles and surfaces.
• Ability to work in confined spaces.
• Ability to work in outdoor weather conditions.
• Ability to frequently utilize hand functions requiring fine motor skills.

• Mix paint, ingredients, or chemicals, according to specification
• Maintain a high quality of workmanship
• Load and unload materials
• Perform job site cleanup and maintain vehicle with equipment for each project
• May assist with organizing equipment in the warehouse when support is needed
• Maintain compliance to all PPE and safety regulations per OSHA and company standards
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with those contacted in the course of work, including customers
• Ability to transport materials and equipment to complete assigned job tasks (up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds with assistance)
• Ability to work on rooftops with various angles and surfaces which requires frequent bending, twisting, squatting, climbing, kneeling, crawling, turning, standing, and balance
• Ability to work in confined spaces which requires kneeling, crouching and climbing ladders
• Ability to work in outdoor weather conditions including but not limited to: excessive noise, extreme heat, extreme cold, wet environment, and humidity
• Ability to frequently utilize hand functions requiring fine motor skills including but not limited to: fine manipulation, grasping, and pinching
