Job Title: Construction Officer

Location: Revelstoke, BC

Estimated Start Date: June 1, 2025

Estimated End Date: January 1, 2026

Standard Hours per Day: 10 (shift 10/4)

Bill Rate: $54.02 T4 / $65.36 INC

Role Overview

Provide on-site support for a capital construction program in Revelstoke. The role is approximately 70% field work and 30% desk-based. Work is conducted on a 10-hour shift with a preferred 10 days on / 4 days off rotation.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and inspect construction work on civil, electrical, and/or mechanical projects
• Ensure work, materials, progress, and costs meet project expectations
• Monitor and report on construction progress, safety, quality, and adherence to contract terms
• Prepare daily and weekly field observation reports
• Act as Site Safety Coordinator
• Conduct or coordinate site testing, surveying, and estimating activities
• Support contract and/or work order administration in collaboration with contractors and internal construction services

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of construction experience or equivalent
• Diploma in Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Technology, or equivalent trade/apprenticeship certification
• Training in contract law
• Strong understanding of safety standards and regulations (e.g., OSH Standards, WorkSafe BC)
• Intermediate computing skills (MS Office)
• Strong English communication skills (written and spoken)
• Comfortable working in challenging conditions (adverse weather, at heights, or underground)
