Job summary

The Roma Fence Group of Companies is seeking an experienced Site Supervisor to lead fence installation projects across the GTA and surrounding regions. You will oversee crews, coordinate schedules with management, and ensure safety and quality from start to finish.

Travel between job sites is required; a company vehicle and cell phone are provided. Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills are essential to deliver on-time, on-budget results.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of Site Supervisor or Construction Supervisor experience.
• Experience supervising construction or fence installation crews.
• Ability to read construction drawings and specifications.
• Strong leadership, communication and organizational skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office; valid G license and willingness to travel.
• Knowledge of Ontario OHSA Act and Regulations.

Responsibilities

• Supervise fence installation crews on commercial, industrial, and institutional projects.
• Coordinate project schedules alongside management team
• Conduct initial site inspections before work begins.
• Monitor progress, quality, productivity, and safety on site.
• Ensure all work complies with OHSA, project specs, and contract details.
• Review contract documents and landscape plans
• Coordinate permits, underground locates, and other project requirements
• Communicate with clients and internal departments to resolve issues promptly
• Monitor project progress on site and provide regular progress reports to mgmt.
• Maintain accurate project documentation, site reports, drawings, and daily records
• Identify and resolve site issues to minimize delays alongside management
• Promote a positive safety culture on site
• Travel throughout the GTA and surrounding areas; company truck provided

Job description:

The Roma Fence Group of Companies is seeking an experienced Site Supervisor to join our growing installation team. This role is responsible for overseeing fence installation and construction projects from start to finish while ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Projects are primarily located throughout the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) and surrounding regions. Travel between job sites is required.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise fence installation crews on commercial, industrial, and institutional projects.
• Coordinate project schedules alongside management team
• Conduct initial site inspections before work begins.
• Perform regular site visits to monitor progress, quality, productivity, and safety.
• Ensure all work complies with Occupational Health & Safety legislation, company policies, project specifications, and applicable project details.
• Review contract documents and landscape plans
• Coordinate permits, underground locates, and other project requirements alongside project admin team
• Communicate with clients and internal departments to resolve issues promptly
• Monitor project progress on site and provide regular progress reports to mgmt.
• Maintain accurate project documentation, site reports, drawings, correspondence, and daily records.
• Identify and resolve site issues to minimize delays alongside management.
• Promote a positive safety culture on site.
• Ensure projects are completed to company quality standards and client expectations / contract requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of Site Supervisor or Construction Supervisor experience.
• Experience supervising construction or fence installation crews.
• Education in Construction Management, Civil Engineering Technology, Project Management, or a related field is considered an asset.
• CET designation is considered an asset.
• Strong knowledge of Ontario Occupational Health & Safety Act and Regulations.
• Ability to read construction drawings and specifications
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Excellent customer service and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple projects while meeting deadlines.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word).
• Valid G driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to travel throughout the GTA and surrounding areas (company truck provided for site visits)
• Willingness to work flexible hours when project requirements dictate.
