Job summary

Silverline Construction Ltd. is a general contractor specializing in commercial, agricultural and industrial construction. We work primarily with steel buildings but also do renovations and other types of new builds.

You MUST be a Journeyman Carpenter. We are seeking a competent Site Superintendent to coordinate operations and oversee workers at construction sites, serving as the reference point for both workers and management. A Site Superintendent has a solid background in the field.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as construction foreman in Canada.
• Journeyperson Certificate of Qualification is required.
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
• Ability to read drawings, plans and blueprints.
• Strong problem-solving and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate tasks according to priorities and plans.
• Produce schedules and monitor attendance of crew.
• Allocate general and daily responsibilities.
• Supervise and train workers and tradespeople.
• Ensure manpower and resources are adequate.
• Guarantee safety precautions and quality standards are met.
• Supervise the use of machinery and equipment.
• Monitor expenditure and ensure it remains within budget.
• Report progress to managers, engineers, etc.

A Site Superintendent has a solid background in the field. Your leadership skills and your extensive CANADIAN BASED experience have earned you the ability to not only direct the work of others but work alongside them as needed. You must be well-organized, be able to make quick decisions and favor safety above everything else.

Responsibilities

Requirements and skills

• Understanding of electrical and hydraulic systems
• Ability to read drawings, plans and blueprints
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills
• Ability to communicate and report effectively
• Aptitude in math
• Problem-solving abilities
• Good physical condition and stamina
• Journeyperson Certificate of Qualification
