Job summary

Lyle V. Schell Construction Management Services Ltd. is seeking a Site Superintendent to supervise and coordinate all field operations for the project, ensuring on-time progress and compliance with drawings, specs, and safety standards.

You will work with the project manager to align site activities with schedule, manage subcontractors and materials, and provide regular updates on status. A high school diploma is required; post-secondary construction management education is preferred; 3+ years

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Post-secondary education in Construction Management preferred.
• Minimum three years of construction supervision experience required.
• On-site position; ability to perform physical labour is a requirement.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate all field operations required to construct the project.
• Work with the project manager to coordinate site activities to meet schedule and specs.
• Ensure materials and workmanship meet quality standards and design requirements.
• Provide weekly updates and meetings on project status.
• Collaborate with contracting companies to obtain supplies, equipment and labor to meet schedule.
• Maintain knowledge of Saskatchewan Occupational Health & Safety regulations and legislations.
• Create site-specific plans and implement LVS's Safety Program for a safe site.
• Inspect the work site to ensure LVS staff and partners comply with regulations and policies.
• Read and understand Architectural, Structural, Electrical and Mechanical drawings.
• Review and understand all reports and documents including Site Services, Structural, Architectural, M&E.

• Work with the project manager to coordinate all site activities in order to meet schedule in accordance with Drawings, Specifications and Trade Contracts;
• Ensure project materials and workmanship meet project quality standards and design requirements;

• Create site specific plans and procedures (as required) and ensure the implementation of LVS's Safety Program to create a safe work environment throughout the jobsite;
• Inspects the work site continuously to ensure all LVS staff and trades partners abide by Ministry of Labour regulations and LVSs Health & Safety Policies;
• Must be able to read and thoroughly understand Architectural, Structural, Electrical and Mechanical drawings,

Education & Skills:
