Construction Site Representative/ Civil Technologist

Associated Engineering, a proudly Canadian, employee‑owned company, is seeking an experienced and dedicated professional to join our Kelowna office on a hourly contract basis. The successful candidate will work with a vibrant team of Professional Engineers and Technologists on construction inspection projects throughout BC, undertaking a variety of projects for a varied client base.

What You’ll Do
  • Monitor contractor operations to ensure compliance with contract terms, design specifications, and drawings
  • Monitor progress and schedules
  • Prepare daily and weekly reports
  • Maintain project records and site diaries
  • Review contractor work procedure submissions
  • Monitor quality control testing
  • Review on-site quantities
  • Contract administration
  • Coordinate with clients and sub‑consultants
  • Communicate effectively and clearly in writing and verbally with clients, contractors, sub‑consultants, and internal staff
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in contract administration and site inspection
  • Eligible for professional licensing with EGBC as a P.Eng or ASTTBC as a AScT
  • Undergraduate degree or diploma in civil engineering from an accredited post‑secondary institution (asset)
  • Experience with municipal infrastructure projects (active transportation, water, sanitary, storm main installations)
  • Proficiency in civil 3D, Microsoft Suite, Adobe, Bluebeam, and modeling software
  • Familiarity with roadworks construction methodology and underground utilities (valve chambers, manholes, vaults)
  • Familiarity with road and bridge construction materials, methods, and processes
  • MMCD contract administration and inspection experience (asset)
  • Alternative contract delivery experience (asset)
  • Committed team player with the ability to work independently with minimal direction
  • Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and quality
  • Ability to work within tight deadlines and schedules
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Flexibility to work on‑site and in an office setting for reporting and design tasks
  • Valid driver’s license
