Aerotek in Abbotsford, BC is seeking a Construction Safety Labourer to support a reputable contractor on a commercial project. You will assist skilled trades, uphold safety standards, and help ensure productive progress on site.

Responsibilities

• Assist skilled tradespeople and site supervisors with daily construction activities.
• Load, unload, and move construction materials around the site.
• Perform site cleanup and housekeeping to maintain a safe work environment.
• Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
• Set up and dismantle temporary barriers, fencing, and site protection.
• Assist with excavation, concrete work, formwork, and general site preparation.
• Follow all company safety policies and WorkSafeBC regulations.
• Support site logistics and material deliveries.
• Conduct daily site inspections and hazard assessments to identify and mitigate workplace risks.
• Ensure compliance with WorkSafeBC regulations, Occupational Health & Safety requirements, and company safety policies.
• Maintain accurate safety documentation, inspection reports, incident reports, and safety records.
• Conduct regular audits of equipment, tools, fall protection systems, and work areas.
• Promote a strong safety culture through coaching, mentoring, and positive reinforcement.
• Monitor compliance with PPE requirements, site housekeeping standards, and safe work practices.

Work Environment

There is a coffee break at 10:15 AM and lunch from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM. Required PPE includes a hard hat, high visibility vest, and steel-toed boots.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Abbotsford, BC.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $32.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
