Construction Project Manager [Field Based]
Job Description

Our Earth & Environmental Applied Solutions team (EEAS) is seeking an Environmental Construction Project Manager based in British Columbia.

The team manages diverse construction and engineering operations across Canada. As a Construction Project Manager, you should possess strong project, program management, and leadership skills, capable of leading multi-disciplinary teams. Our work includes site remediation, mine closure, decommissioning, demolition, marine, and civil construction projects, delivered as prime contractor or construction manager. You will work with a regional team on local and national projects.

Your role involves identifying and developing new opportunities in Western Canada and maintaining relationships with existing clients. You will lead, mentor, and develop team members, sharing your expertise and providing strategic direction.

You will oversee projects, ensuring quality, adherence to budget and schedule, and maintaining safety standards.

What you can expect to do:

  • Identify new construction opportunities for large-scale, multi-disciplinary projects nationwide.
  • Leverage field and office experience, project management skills, and knowledge of environmental regulations.
  • Manage project delivery, including scope, cost, schedule, quality, and safety.
  • Collaborate with technical teams and oversee work execution.
  • Coordinate with HSSE resources on project implementation.
  • Assist in preparing detailed engineering estimates.
  • Lead proposal development and client presentations to secure new projects.
  • Guide construction and design teams on technical and constructability issues.

Qualifications:

  • Experience as an Environmental Project Manager preferred.
  • Degree in Environmental or Civil Engineering, Management, or equivalent.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer or eligible for licensing in other provinces preferred.
  • PMP certification is a plus.
  • 5-8 years of project management experience in consulting or construction.
  • Experience in regulated industries like Oil & Gas, Mining, Environmental Remediation, Marine, or Infrastructure.
  • Knowledge of B.C. Environmental Regulations is advantageous.
  • Willingness to travel (~50%) and work remotely when necessary.
  • Ability to develop and audit environmental management plans.
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder communication skills.
  • Comfort working outdoors in remote conditions across seasons.
  • Creative, eager to learn, and adaptable.
  • Position is 100% remote with a fly-in/fly-out schedule: 2 weeks on-site, 2 weeks off, with travel, meals, and accommodations provided.

Compensation

Expected Salary (BC): $74,600 to $114,000

Final salary depends on education, experience, skills, and organizational needs. Salary range may vary based on business considerations.
