MatchBox Consulting Group is seeking a Commercial Project Manager to join our client, a well‑established General Contractor with a strong presence across Western Canada. This role is ideal for an experienced commercial construction Project Manager who enjoys leading fast‑paced projects, building strong client relationships, and overseeing projects from preconstruction through completion. This opportunity offers exposure to commercial base building and fast‑track construction projects across the Lower Mainland and Interior BC, with an immediate focus on a major commercial project in Penticton. You will work closely with ownership groups, consultants, site teams, and subcontractors while taking ownership of budgeting, scheduling, procurement, and project delivery. Responsibilities

• Lead the full‑cycle delivery of commercial base building and construction projects from preconstruction through turnover
• Manage project budgets, scheduling, procurement, contract administration, and project controls
• Coordinate consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal project teams throughout construction
• Maintain strong communication with clients, ownership groups, and stakeholders
• Monitor project schedules and proactively manage project risks, sequencing, and issue resolution
• Utilize Procore and other construction management software for documentation, reporting, and project tracking
• Support site teams and collaborate closely with superintendents to maintain schedule and quality targets
• Oversee project financials including forecasting, change management, invoicing, and cost tracking
• Ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and in alignment with client expectations
• Travel regularly to project sites throughout BC, including weekly travel to Penticton

Qualifications

• 5–10+ years of Project Management experience with a General Contractor
• Proven experience delivering $2M–$10M+ commercial construction or base building projects
• Strong understanding of budgeting, scheduling, procurement, contract administration, and project controls
• Proficiency with Procore and construction management software platforms
• Experience managing commercial, retail, restaurant, office, hospitality, or institutional projects
• Experience with fast‑track project delivery and occupied environments is considered an asset
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with field and office teams
• Comfortable travelling regularly throughout BC for active project requirements
