  • Prepare and manage project schedules, budgets, forecasts, and progress reports.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor project performance, quality, and safety.
  • Manage project documentation, contracts, change orders, and client communications.
  • Identify risks and implement proactive solutions to maintain project timelines.
  • Foster strong relationships with clients, trades, and project stakeholders.

Our client, a well-established and growing construction company in the Ottawa area, is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional who enjoys leading projects from inception to completion and has experience managing small to large-scale construction projects.

Candidates with restoration experience are strongly encouraged to apply, as this experience is considered a valuable asset.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage construction projects from planning through completion, ensuring quality, budget, and schedule objectives are met.
  • Oversee multiple projects simultaneously, ranging from small renovations to large commercial or institutional projects.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, consultants, clients, and internal stakeholders.
  • Prepare and manage project schedules, budgets, forecasts, and progress reports.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor project performance, quality, and safety.
  • Manage project documentation, contracts, change orders, and client communications.
  • Identify risks and implement proactive solutions to maintain project timelines.
  • Foster strong relationships with clients, trades, and project stakeholders.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Construction Project Manager.
  • Proven experience successfully managing projects of varying size and complexity.
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, scheduling, budgeting, and contract administration.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction/project management software.
  • Valid Ontario driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites throughout the Ottawa region.
  • Experience in restoration, and disaster recovery projects is an asset.
  • PMP designation or other project management certification is considered an asset.
  • Knowledge of the Ontario Building Code and local construction regulations.
