City of Vernon Labourer (Temporary) is a field role supporting water, sewer, storm drainage, roads, sidewalks, parks and buildings. You will assist with traffic control, pipe work, site preparation and equipment operation under supervision.

Applicants should have construction experience, a valid BC Class 5 license, and the ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions. This temporary posting runs through early November with full-time scheduling.

Formación

• Experience in general construction and maintenance work.
• Current BC Driver’s License Class 5.
• A combination of related education and experience may be considered.

Responsabilidades

• Direct traffic, place barricades and warning lights around projects.
• Install/repair sewer and water pipes, level trenches and backfill with gravel.
• Operate power equipment and hand tools for long outdoor work in all weather.
