Job description

MCL is hiring Construction Labourers to join our team. MCL is an Indigenous general contractor in Winnipeg who completes projects throughout Manitoba and Northwestern Ontario. Our team has a shared passion for being a key contributing member to the future of our communities through the projects that we pursue, with a strong focus on upholding the craftsmanship of the carpentry trade and building trusting relationships with our clients.

As our General Construction Labourer, you will be an essential part of our team by supporting the successful delivery of our projects. You will work under the direction of the Site Superintendent.

Responsibilities
  • Load, unload and move construction materials
  • Erect and dismantle fencing, ramps, catwalks
  • Prepare work areas as instructed
  • Assist in rebar placing, tying and erection of formwork for concrete placement
  • Basic knowledge and cooperation of safety requirements and PPE
Qualifications & Skills
  • Reliable, hardworking team player with the ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Desire to work in commercial construction
  • Must provide own CSA steel-toed boots and hard hat
Conditions of Employment
  • Legally eligible to work in Canada.
  • Ability to work in all weather conditions.
  • Physically capable of performing all duties as assigned (lifting, carrying, moving up to 50 lbs).
  • 5-day work week, Monday to Friday, with the opportunity for overtime
