Job summary

Stint Construction Ltd in Nanaimo is seeking construction labourers for immediate start. This full-time, permanent role pays $25.00 per hour for a 40-hour week, with overtime after 40 hours and 4% vacation pay.

You will load and unload materials, assist with forms, scaffolding, and other site tasks, and help keep worksites organized and safe.

Start date is as soon as possible. 1–7 months of experience is preferred; please note that we do not accept phone calls or walk-ins.

Qualifications

• 1-7 months of experience as a construction labourer.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload construction materials, and move materials to work areas
• Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring and barricades required at construction sites
• Mix, pour and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt
• Assist in drilling and blasting rock at construction sites
• Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites
• Assist in framing houses, erecting walls and building roofs
• Direct traffic at or near construction sites
• Perform routine maintenance work
