Qualifications

  • Civil Engineering Technology diploma or equivalent experience is required.
  • Familiarity with construction drawings and layout needed.
  • Experience with GPS and survey equipment is a plus.
  • Interest or experience in urban roadway and highway construction.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Drone Pilot Certificate – Advanced Operations (TC) preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide construction administration services including quality assurance and site supervision.
  • Execute field surveys using GPS survey equipment.
  • Prepare and maintain client-specified construction records.
  • Assist and prepare stakeout information for use in the field, such as corridors, alignment, linework, points and surfaces.

  • Assist in the preparation of tender documents and project cost estimates, and interpret construction contract specifications.

We are looking for a Construction Inspector/Surveyor to join our expanding multidisciplinary team in Saskatchewan. You will work closely with our local team of professionals in the delivery of projects for various public and private-sector clients.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Provide construction administration services including construction contractor management, quantity tracking and verification, site inspections, quality assurance (QA) and construction site supervision
  • Execute field surveys including preliminary topographic surveys, slope staking / construction layout and quantity surveys using GPS survey equipment
  • Prepare and maintain client-specified construction records, and preparation of as-built drawings
  • Assist and prepare stakeout information for use in the field, such as corridors, alignment, linework, points and surfaces
  • Assist project engineers and technologists in carrying out technical tasks requiring accuracy in calculations, completeness of data and adherence to prescribed methods
  • Assist in the preparation of tender documents and project cost estimates, and interpret construction contract specifications.
Qualifications
  • Civil Engineering Technology diploma or equivalent combination of education and industry experience
  • Knowledge / experience in interpreting construction drawings and construction layout
  • Knowledge / experience with GPS / total station / 3D scanning survey equipment and processes
  • Interest or experience in urban roadway and highway construction
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Drone Pilot Certificate – Advanced Operations, as issued by Transport Canada preferred, but not required
