Job summary

Newton Rebar Services Ltd. in Surrey, BC is seeking four Construction helpers to support concrete and site operations. You will load, unload, transport materials and assist with forming, scaffolding, and site cleanup.

No formal education required, English language is needed. This is a permanent, full-time role with varied shifts and starts as soon as possible. Salary is $38.40 per hour for a 40-hour week, with potential for on-site learning and growth.

As a Construction helper, you will be performing the following activities:

• Load, unload and transport construction materials
• Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, cat walks shoring and barricades
• Mix, pour and spread materials
• Assist heavy equipment operators
• Assist in aligning pipes during pipeline construction
• Assist in drilling and blasting rock on construction sites
• Assist in framing houses, erecting walls and building roofs
• Clean up chemical spills and other contaminants
• Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites
• Tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction
• Read and interpret blueprints
