Job summary

DIAMOND NAILS is seeking a Construction helper to join our team in Baie-Sainte-Anne, NB. The role involves front-line site work, material handling, and assisting in building projects. Training will be provided, and shifts may include day, weekend, overtime, and on-call hours.

This is a permanent, full-time position with 30–40 hours per week. We require bilingual capability (English or French), the ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs), and the willingness to work in outdoor, noisy, dusty, or hot

Qualifications

• The candidate should be fluent in English or French.
• There are no standard education requirements such as a bachelor’s degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
• Training will be provided to the selected candidate.
• Must be able to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
• Good teamwork and communication skills are required.
• Ability to work long hours in outdoor environments.
• Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
• Ability to work in noisy, dusty, and hot conditions.

Responsibilities

• Load, unload, and transport construction materials.
• Mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt.
• Assist in pipe alignment during pipeline construction.
• Assist in framing houses, erecting walls, and constructing roofs.
• Pave and rake asphalt.
• Demolish buildings as needed.
• Clean and pile salvaged materials.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks.
• Remove rubble and debris from sites.
• Tend or operate construction machines and equipment.

• The candidate will be responsible for mixing, pouring, and spreading materials such as concrete and asphalt.
• The candidate must assist in pipe alignment during pipeline construction.
• The candidate will be required to assist in the framing of houses, the erection of walls, and the construction of roofs.
• The candidate must pave and rake asphalt.
• The candidate must assist in the demolition of buildings.
• The candidate must clean and pile salvaged materials.
• The candidate will be responsible for performing routine maintenance work.
• The candidate must clean up chemical spills and other contaminants.
• The candidate must remove rubble and other debris from construction sites.
• The candidate will be responsible for tending or feeding construction machines and equipment.
