Job summary

The Estimator at Seymour Pacific Developments is based in Winnipeg, Manitoba, and prepares full-cost estimates for multi-family residential and commercial projects across Canada, working with the Senior Estimator to finalize budgets for approval.

You will perform material, labour and equipment take-offs, analyze plans, and prepare proposals using ProContractor Estimating software and related tools. A relevant post-secondary diploma and at least two years of estimating experience are required.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary diploma in Construction Management, Accounting or related field.
• Minimum 2 years working experience in a construction estimating role.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Preparation of thorough, accurate estimates using ProContractor Estimating software.
• Analyze project plans and specifications to determine total cost.
• Conduct material, labour and equipment take-offs.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates including materials, labour and duration.
• Build-up of direct and indirect costs for major projects.
• Document and maintain records to support accounting and reporting.
• Create estimates for change orders, RFIs, and value engineering.
