Job summary

Kibbi Technologies Inc. is seeking an Estimator to prepare labour and material cost estimates, read blueprints, and utilize CADD and related software at our Calgary location. The role requires 1 year to less than 2 years of experience and the ability to liaise with engineers, architects and contractors on cost changes.

On-site work only. Applicants must be organized, proactive team players, and comfortable presenting cost analyses.

Qualifications

• 1 year to less than 2 years of experience
• On-site work with no remote option

Responsibilities

• Prepare estimates of labour and/or material costs
• Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine work requirements
• Operate CADD and other computer software systems
• Prepare estimates for general expenses and overheads
• Utilize quantity take-off procedures
• Set up cost monitoring and reporting systems
• Monitor and adjust contract expenditures
• Prepare and maintain directory of supplies and trade contractors
• Liaise, consult and communicate with engineers, architects, owners, contractors and subcontractors on changes and adjustments to cost estimates
