Job summary

3twenty Modular is seeking a Construction Estimator to join our Saskatoon team on a full-time permanent basis. You’ll develop accurate cost estimates by coordinating with sales, design, and subcontractors, reviewing proposals for feasibility and competitiveness, and preparing detailed submissions.

Based in Saskatoon, travel is occasionally required. You will collaborate with internal teams to ensure proposals are feasible, cost-efficient, and aligned with project needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in business, engineering, construction management or related field.
• Five years or more of relevant experience preferred.
• Technical understanding of construction processes and building materials.
• Proven ability to build strong relationships with internal and external customers.
• Self-directed approach to identifying inefficiencies and driving process improvements.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the sales team and review requests for proposals (RFPs) to gather project requirements for estimate submission.
• Consolidate RFIs and clarifications from internal teams and vendor partners to prepare quality, competitive proposals.
• Coordinate with design team and subcontractors to ensure proposals are feasible and cost-effective.
• Develop accurate cost estimates for construction projects, considering materials, labour, and other factors.
• Prepare detailed proposals including materials, scope of work, exclusions, pricing and a preliminary construction schedule.
• Lead a project hand-off meeting between sales and project teams to ensure a seamless transition.
• Stay informed about industry trends and pricing to provide competitive estimates.

What you’ll do:

• Prepare detailed proposals which include required materials, scope of work, exclusions, pricing and a preliminary construction schedule.
• Act as a liaison by leading a project hand-off meeting between the sales and project teams to ensure a seamless transition of projects.
• Stay informed about industry trends and pricing to provide competitive and accurate estimates.

What you’ll bring:

• A bachelor's degree in business, engineering, construction management or a related field.
• Five years or more of relevant experience is preferred; a combination of experience and education may be considered.
• Technical understanding of construction processes and building materials.

• A self-directed approach to identifying inefficiencies and independently driving process improvements.
