Job summary

KB Better Construction Ltd. in Regina is seeking an experienced Estimator/Project Manager to join our team.

You will prepare cost estimates for labour and materials, respond to RFPs and tenders, and collaborate with engineers, architects, owners, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure successful project execution. The ideal candidate excels at budgeting, scheduling, and using tools like Excel, Xactimate, AutoCAD, and project management software.

Qualifications

• Experience in preparing cost estimates for labour and materials.
• Experience responding to RFPs and tenders.
• Ability to coordinate with engineers, architects, owners, contractors and subcontractors to ensure project execution.

Responsibilities

• Respond to RFPs and tenders with accurate and competitive estimates.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates for labour and/or materials and other project-related expenses.
• Track progress and quality of work by subcontractors, suppliers and field trades.
• Liaise with engineers, architects, owners, contractors and subcontractors, and adjust cost estimates as needed.
• Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine work requirements.
• Utilize MS Excel, MS Word, Xactimate, AutoCAD and project management tools.

Key Responsibilities

• Respond to RFPs and tenders with accurate and competitive estimates.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates for labour and/ or materials, and other project-related expenses.
• Track progress and quality of work being performed by subcontractors, suppliers and field trades.
• Liaise and communicate with engineers, architects, and owners, contractors, and subcontractors, as well as make changes and Adjustments to cost estimates.
• Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine work requirements.
• Have strong Computer and Technology Knowledge as it relates to MS Excel, MS Word, Xactimate, Auto CAD, OST software and project management tools.

Experience in project size estimating from $0 - $4,000,000.00.
