Job summary

Dock Products Canada in Mississauga, Ontario is seeking a Construction Estimator to prepare estimates for new construction installations and retrofit projects. You will work with Sales, Operations and Project teams to ensure accurate, competitive quotes and on-time project handoffs across Western Canada.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in construction/estimating, strong reading of drawings, and proficiency with Excel and ERP/CRM software.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of construction, industrial equipment, or estimating experience.
• Ability to read architectural, structural, mechanical and electrical drawings.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Experience with ERP/CRM or estimating software; strong PM knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Estimating & Proposal Development: review specs, drawings, bid documents and customer requirements; prepare cost estimates for equipment and projects.
• Project Support: collaborate with Sales, Operations, PM and Installation; assist with scope reviews and change orders.
• Customer & Contractor Relations: respond to inquiries; liaise with contractors, architects, consultants and end-users.
• Continuous Improvement: maintain bid history and identify estimating process improvements.
