Job summary

Agilus by Synergie is hiring a Junior Construction Estimator in Markham, Ontario, in a hybrid work environment. You will support bid preparation, take-offs, cost analysis, and project pricing from pre-construction through award.

Ideal candidates have 1-3 years in estimating, experience with take-offs, and knowledge of commercial/new-build projects. Proficiency in MS Office and Procore is important; electrical contracting background is a plus.

Qualifications

• Possess 1-3 years of estimating or construction-related experience.
• Demonstrate experience performing quantity take-offs.
• Support estimating activities on commercial, retail, or new-build projects.
• Understand construction drawings, specifications, and tender documents.
• Utilize Microsoft Office applications effectively.
• Background in electrical contracting is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Prepare quantity take-offs from drawings and specifications.
• Assist with project estimates, budgets, and bid submissions.
• Review construction drawings and contract documents.
• Solicit and evaluate pricing from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Support preparation of tender and quotation packages.
• Maintain estimating databases and project documentation.
