Job summary

Aplin, in partnership with our client, is seeking an experienced AutoCAD Drafter/Designer to join their team in Winnipeg, Manitoba. You will draft detailed drawings and collaborate with Sales, Construction, and clients to ensure specifications are correctly captured for quotation and projects.

The ideal candidate has a Diploma or equivalent in Structural, Civil, or Architectural Technology, strong AutoCAD skills, and at least 3 years of drafting experience in commercial or residential

Qualifications

• Diploma or equivalent qualification in Structural, Civil, or Architectural Technologist.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD; Revit is an asset.
• Read and interpret construction drawings and customer specifications.
• 3+ years drafting/design experience in commercial or residential construction.
• MS Office proficiency (Excel/Word).
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work with multiple teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of drafting and design using AutoCAD, creating detailed drawings for client review. Experience with Revit is considered an asset.

• Identify and apply effective drafting and design practices while collaborating with colleagues and sharing technical knowledge.
• Review project requirements and ensure drawings are accurate, complete, and aligned with customer specifications.

The Ideal Candidate

• Diploma or equivalent qualification as a Structural, Civil, or Architectural Technologist, with a proven background in construction drafting and design.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD; experience with Revit is an asset.
• Ability to read, understand, and interpret construction drawings and customer specifications.
• 3+ years of drafting and design experience within commercial or residential construction.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and the ability to work effectively with multiple teams.
